Singapore Garden Photographer of the Year: Award-winning Photography Celebrating Singapore’s City in a Garden
The Singapore Garden Photographer of the Year photo competition aims to showcase the rich biodiversity and greenery that makes Singapore a City in a Garden. Presented by the National Parks Board (NParks), this is the first year the competition was held, and the third in a series of photography competitions NParks has organised. These competitions, held in 2010, 2012 and 2015, have proven extremely popular among local shutterbugs, with no less than 11,328 submissions from 2,249 photographers for this year’s edition.
Specially produced to commemorate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, this coffee table book features the best photos from all three photo competitions held to date. In addition, the book offers photography tips specially for budding photographers and photo enthusiasts, as well as snippets of information on our country’s myriad parks, gardens and nature reserves and the biodiversity found within. We hope this book will inspire more people to take up their cameras – from high-end professional-quality camera equipment to a simple point-and-shoot, or even a mobile phone camera – and discover the lush green spaces that make up this City in a Garden.
